Jan
Piscitelli, Director
590-7855
When Jan moved to this area from Connecticut, she began her association with the newly organized Family Resource Center as a volunteer. When the Center officially opened and experienced a need for substitute teachers, she agreed to also work in that capacity. Her work at the Center continues a 25 year professional history in the Early Childhood Education field.
With an undergraduate
degree in Early Childhood Education and a graduate degree in Counseling
and Human Development, Jan has worked with children, their families and
communities as a teacher and administrator. Prior to moving to Florida
she "retired" from her role as Director of the Yale-New Haven
Hospital Day Care Center, a nonprofit program designed for the employees
of the hospital and the Yale Schools of Medicine and Nursing.
Jan and her husband
Al, an occasional volunteer at the Center, live in Bonita Springs
where she enjoys swimming, biking, gardening, quilting and reading.
