How to change your password on Windows XP

Before you attempt the following steps, be sure that you are logged into your machine.

  1. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL.
  2. Click 'Change Password'.
  3. In 'Username', type your username.
  4. In 'Old Password', type your old password.
  5. In 'New Password', type the new password.
  6. In 'Confirm New Password', type the new password, and then click 'ok'.


How to change your password using webmail (Windows 9x/ME, Mac OS, and Off-Campus users)

  1. Click 'Faculty/Staff' and enter Username/Password to log into webmail.
  2. Click the 'Options' button on the top-right of the page.
  3. Click the 'Change Password' button.
  4. In 'Old Password', type your old password.
  5. In 'New Password', type the new password.
  6. In 'Confirm New Password', type the new password, and then click OK.
  7. Log out from the network and log back in using your new password. (*NOTE* You may have to wait 10-15 minutes for the new password to replicate.)



How to change your password on your Treo 650

  1. Press the home button on your Treo 650 SmartPhone.
  2. Click the VersaMail icon.
  3. Bring up the menu by clicking in the upper left corner of the screen.
  4. Click Accounts on the menu.
  5. Click Account Setup on the Accounts menu.
  6. Highlight your FGCU VersaMail account.
  7. Click Edit.
  8. Click Next to skip to the page with password settings.
  9. Under the word "Password" click Assigned.
  10. Enter your new password.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Next.
  14. Click Test Settings to ensure your new password is working.
  15. If there are no errors from the test, click Done.
