Each class meets weekly for three hours during the program.

On the third Thursday of every month, the Punta Gorda Downtown Merchants Association presents Gallery Walk -- an evening of music, art and tastings. The Renaissance Academy supports the arts in Punta Gorda by displaying a local artists' work all month and hosting a reception during Gallery Walk.

March 2013 Featured Artist: Lionel Lewis

Originally from Trinidad, Lewis is a modern artist who uses the birds of the islands and the culture of his people to inspire his unique style.

In addition to Mr. Lewis' colorful works of art, our March 21st reception featured Tropical Rock music by Douglas Coventry and culinary delights from Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant.

Herald Court Theatre Kids is a multi-year theatre/dance education program for children. This program is offered through FGCU's Renaissance Academy of Charlotte County and in association with The Performing Arts Development Cooperative. The curriculum includes experiential, interactive activities such as script-writing, acting, designing, directing, researching, connecting, analyzing, understanding, and performing.
