Technology plays a vital role both in and out of the classrooms at FGCU. Support is available to faculty, staff, and students for a wide variety of technology related issues.

In order to ensure a timely response to requests please submit them in advance, particularly during peak times such as a week or two before the start of a semester.

The library has a full-service computing lab that supports all course software, standard office packages, web development, image scaning, and library specific applications. There is professional technical support staff available 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday- Friday as well as student support staff available after 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week. They are familiar with all the applications and hardware in the lab.

  • Network connectivity for laptops inside the Library

The Library Systems staff are also responsible for the Library website and can help with any technical requests or difficulties on this site.

  • Proxy Server configuration for remote authentication to electronic databases
  • Issue with the retrieval of electronic course materials reserves and interlibrary loan
  • Scanning materials into images or PDF documents
