Learning Academy Expectations

The Learning Academy is a special learning environment in which students are active participants in their own learning. Students will be expected to attend classes, field trips and the Common Hour. Peer learning is facilitated by both cooperative and collaborative efforts to assist classmates in the pursuit of honorable scholarship. The Learning Academy community respects the ideas of others and values diversity. Members are committed toward working with dedicated faculty to maximize their personal learning journey.

The results of the Learning Academy are prominent: higher grades, more engagement, and better retention. About 90% of Learning Academy students return to FGCU for their second year of study.
