5.3 Library Services and Support
|
Principle:
5.3.1 Provide library resources, reference services, and information
literacy instruction appropriate to meet the needs of distance learners. |
Practices:
A.
Provide distance students with electronic course reserve materials. |
Examples:
The Library

may retrieve
course reserves at the FGCU Library web site. Students
must use their user name and password to access electronic
reserves. Faculty need to follow these steps to reserve
electronic
course materials:
1. Determine course needs for ordering electronic collections
and journals. Consultation with a department head may be
necessary when costs are involved.
2. Contact your college's designated resource librarian
to facilitate resource location and scanning.
3. Requests for scanning and journal availability should
be made four to six weeks prior to the semester.
|
|
