2.6 Pace of Learning and Procrastination
Principle:
2.6.1 Timely feedback will strengthen the relationship between students and the instructor to reduce the tendency for academic procrastination.

Practices:

A. Provide precise directions to students about assignment expectations.

B. Establish due dates for all assignments.

D. Let students know as soon as possible when an email attached assignment has been received.

 
Examples:

First, provide students with an orientation to distance learning.

Second, provide specific objectives and assignment outcomes to help students understand instructor expectations.

Third, let student know the consequences of assignments that are submitted late.

Course Management System Assignment Dropboxes may provide immediate feedback that the student assignment has been submitted.
