Fall term comparisons between 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 indicates a = significant increase in ridership.=C2=A0 Additional shuttles were added = to the Eagle Express during peak service hours.=C2=A0=C2=A0Ridership has = also required the addition of three new stops within the routes.

Comparison of crime levels and referrals for the same period of = time has shown some slight increase in=C2=A0referrals for alcohol, drug, = and weapons violations.=C2=A0

How were the results of the assessment used to improve = programs or services?

A decrease in the number of overall = crimes committed during this period was noted thus making the student = body safer and = healthier.

Implement "e2Campus," a web = based text messaging system, at FGCU.=C2=A0 Funding through a Department = of Homeland Security grant has been submitted and awaiting = acceptance/denial.=C2=A0 Residential students, faculty and staff will be = required to enroll in this service.=C2=A0 The service would be available = to commuter students on a voluntary basis.

Review of messages sent to users will = show prompt receipt of those messages.=C2=A0 Conduct a post emergency = event assessment via email soliciting user input regarding, message = content, ability to access messages, and timeliness of = messaging.

The majority of users will report that = the messages were informative, timely and = accessible.

Assessments will be used to determine = the effectiveness of the program and whether or not it should be = expanded to include all members of the University community as a = mandatory service.

We have already committed to a one = year contract with the vendor for the 2006-07 academic term.=C2=A0 We = have expanded the routes and the number of shuttles serving the = campus.

Monitor ridership levels by time of = day, day of week, and route to determine level of usage and cost = effectiveness.

Ridership levels will continue to = increase and the majority of riders will report satisfaction with the = service.

The assessment will determine the = number of future shuttles/routes needed and simplify the movement of = students across campus.
