spend considerable time in training and practice environments on the new =

There is no "end date" to =
this goal, so success is measured more by general utilization of the =
reporting tool and level of comfort amongst the =
staff.

Contingent upon the funding of a new =
support level position, the University Budget Office working =
collaboratively within the department and key customers expand the =
service levels and services offered.=C2=A0 Current processes and =
services will be reviewed to determine what additional levels of service =
and support can be provided.

achievement?
The construction of the new position =
description and the changes to current staff position descriptions will =
detail the new and modified duties assigned.

The measurement of this goal is =
derived from new services not previously offered.

Review and rebuild the documentation =
on budget processes and procedures.=C2=A0 With the transition in =
governance and changes in financial systems, a number of processes have =
been altered.=C2=A0 Current documentation needs to be updated and =
expanded to the new environment.

The first assessment is to determine =
if by year end the current documentation in place is current.=C2=A0 =
Secondly, there needs to be a determination of whether or not all =
applicable processes are documented, and have those items accounted =
for.=C2=A0

By completion of the task, with =
particular focus on the items currently developed but out of =
date.

What additional resources have you requested and received a =
commitment for during 2006-2007 from your area VP or the President that =
is based on your analysis of assessment data for =
2005-2006?
The University Budget Office has =
received commitment for a support level position in 2006 that will =
assist in the provision and expansion of services.=C2=A0 A number of the =
goals above consist of duties that will require support.=C2=A0 This =
commitment however is contingent upon funding =
availability.

What additional resource needs do you have for fulfillment =
of your goals that you wish for consideration from your area VP or the =
President that is based on your analysis of assessment data for =
2005-2006?
The allocation of a support level =
position (including general operating budget) is the only request being =
sought.

What assessments are you planning to conduct during =
2006-2007?
Utilizing list of past and future =
attendees to budget training, conduct a general survey of budget =
knowledge amongst those with fiscal responsibilities to determine if =
they have the tools and knowledge necessary in regards to the budget and =
its management.
