Goal 2	Orientation services that are = effective in satisfying the informational and emotional needs of new = students while imparting university expectations to new students and = welcoming them into the FGCU learning community.	Satisfaction level as determined by responses from the = Eagle View Orientation Student Survey. =C2=A0The survey utilizes a = Likert scale and is administered at each new student orientation. = Students indicate % strongly agree/agree/disagree/strongly disagree on = 18 items that cover attitude toward the institution, information = gleaned, services and presentation. =C2=A0Negative indicators for each = item will not exceed 5% of total valid responses.	Survey responses will be analyzed in = the Office of Planning and Institutional Performance and reviewed by the = Director and Coordinator of Orientation to determine program changes and = improvement with respect to specific annual goals.	Paper survey is = currently being administered at FTIC orientation (summer 2008). = =C2=A0
Goal 2	Accurate and courteous academic = counseling utilizing state-of-the-art mechanisms	1. Satisfaction level as determined by responses from the = FGCU First Year Advising Student Survey. =C2=A0The survey is = administered at each new student orientation advising session. = =C2=A0	1. Responses will be evaluated for = formative program improvement. =C2=A0Assessment results will be given to = counselors for feedback on the effectiveness of their respective = academic counseling sessions. If general concerns and patterns are noted = by the Director, the issues will be discussed with individual counselors = or at staff meetings to determine individual or program improvement = needs.
