SAI: FACULTY INSTRUCTIONS
It is the policy
of Florida Gulf Coast University for students to evaluate their courses
and instructors at the conclusion of each academic term. The university-wide
evaluation instrument is the FGCU Student Assessment of Instruction (SAI)
survey form. Other surveys from individual colleges or units may also
be administered at the same time. Please note the following procedures:
- Enclosed are
survey forms for each member of your class.
- Please assign
a student in the class to conduct the evaluation.
- The evaluation
should be administered at the start of the class and takes approximately
15 minutes. No exam should be scheduled for that class session.
- Please step
out of the classroom while the survey is being administered.
- In the case
of on-campus courses, the student administering the survey is responsible
for returning the forms to the Library Circulation Desk. In the case
of off-campus courses, it is the instructor’s responsibility to return
the forms in the sealed envelope to the Library Circulation Desk.
- Distance learning
students and students in PC equipped classrooms will have an opportunity
to complete surveys online.
