Online SAI - Administration

Student Assessment of Instruction begins March 24th and the deadline is April 21st.

Students should email me directly with any technical issues.

Instructions for DL sections:

Post the following link on your course webpage http://www.fgcu.edu/planning/StudentAssessment/StudentInfo/Index.asp

I will monitor responses and contact faculty with the response numbers. If the response rate seems low, remind your students to complete the assessment.

Instructions for administration in a PC Classroom:

Prior To The Date You Choose To Administer SAI

1- Review the instructions for students at: http://www.fgcu.edu/planning/StudentAssessment/StudentInfo/Index.asp

2- Select one or two student volunteers from the class who will be the "student administrator" and review the instructions with those students.

3 - Inform your students that you will administer the SAI on (whatever date) and they need to bring/know their User ID and PIN for Gulfline - this is different than their student network or their email login information

On The Day Of The SAI Administration

1. Administer the Student Assessment during the first 15-20 minutes of class

2. Project the web page with the student instructions on the overhead.

3. Tell the students how you plan to use the results of their feedback

4. Leave the room for 15-20 minutes - Have the one or two student volunteers assist other students

5. Administer student assessments during a class that has no test scheduled for that day.

You should receive your results within 1 week of grade posting deadline.

I will monitor response rates and contact faculty with the response numbers. If the response rate seems low, remind your students to complete the assessment. There is no need for you to reply to the emails I send regarding response rates... they are automated messages...

If you have any questions regarding the online SAI process, please contact me.
