Staff Climate Survey

The Survey

In July of 2002, as a continuation of the assessment of FGCU’s climate, a survey was
administered to full-time USPS and A&P staff.

This effort was initiated by the Staff Advisory Council and carried out by a eight-member task force comprised of staff, one member from Human Resources, and one member from the Office of Planning and Evaluation. This report is one step in the process of continual improvement of the climate at our University.

Focus Groups

The Vice President of Administration asked that OPE and SAC follow up the staff climate survey with a series of focus groups to reinforce and amplify the results of the climate survey.

Recommendations

The Staff Advisory Council and the Staff Climate Study Task Force met on three separate occasions to create the recommendations. The recommendations are fully supported by the information gathered from staff using both the survey and focus group methods.
