The Southwest Florida Center for Public and Social policy has developed expertise in the following general areas.
Policy Analysis: The CPSP provides policy analysis designed to provide clear options for policy decision.
Performance Measurement, Management, and Improvement: The CPSP provides performance management studies, help agencies,, identify outcome oriented performance measures that can transform public service organizational effectiveness and citizen satisfaction.
Public Participation: The CPSP faculties have considerable expertise in developing and implementing public participation programs. The CPSP staff are neutral brokers and are perceived as credible partners in gaining agreement or simply soliciting feedback.
Land Use Planning: The CPSP faculties are experienced in land use planning and have private sector partners throughout the community who provide additional expertise as needed. CPSP has conducted Evaluation and Appraisal Review, transportation, community planning, and site planning studies.
Community Planning: The Center’s faculty has expertise in directing community-based plans for local neighborhoods. We have consulted for communities throughout the various stages of the planning process, including Upper / North Captiva, Buckingham, Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers, and Glades County.
