FGCU Golden Key Chapter Wins International Awards
FORT MYERS, FL - The Key Chapter Award and Best Newsletter Award were presented to members of the Florida Gulf Coast University chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society at the recent Golden Key International Convention, “The Brand of Excellence” in Dallas.
The Key Chapter Award honors chapters that have excelled in five major areas: communication, publicity, meeting management, chapter activities and leadership, as well as participation in regional and international programs.
The Best Newsletter Award is presented to the chapter whose newsletter best exhibits professionalism, effectiveness and creativity. Other criteria for judging includes content, publication frequency, volume and method of distribution. This is the second year in a row that FGCU wins the award.
FGCU chapter president Christina Chuderski, vice presidents Charity Hamilton and Kelly Rivadulla, and faculty advisor William Gregory Sawyer accepted the awards at the convention’s awards luncheon in front of 1,300 delegates from around the world. All chapters may apply for the awards, but only the most outstanding are selected to receive the honor. In addition, the chapter was voted Best Student Organization on the FGCU campus again this year and it has accumulated over 2,700 hours of community service in the last two years.
