FGCU Renaissance Academy Offers Lecture Series on North American Jewish Writers
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's Renaissance Academy, in association with the Naples Chapter of Brandeis Women, welcomes friends and new faces to a three-part lecture series on North American Jewish writers beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17 in Reed Hall Room 249, with Bernard Malamud's The Natural.
Saul Bellow's Mr. Sammler's Planet will follow on Monday, Jan. 14 and Phillip Roth's Patrimony: A True Story will take place Monday, Feb. 25. All lectures begin at 10:30 a.m. in Reed Hall Room 249.
Associate professor of literature in the Division of Humanities at York University in Toronto, Elaine Newton, is guest lecturer. Newton is widely acclaimed as a lecturer in Southwest Florida.
