"Leadership Mastery" Workshop Offered by FGCU Florida Institute of Government
FORT MYERS, FL - Managers and employees from both the private and public sectors are invited to attend a half-day course “Leadership Mastery” presented by the Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University as part of the its Professional Development Series from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 27 in the Broadcast Building Room 111.
Leadership Mastery will teach how to be the “calm” in the center of a storm. In times of stress, rapid change and uncertainty, the power to stay calm, focused and moving forward is a maximum challenge.
Participants will learn:
· the necessary steps to transform themselves and their work environment
· that who a person is provides the anchor of true leadership
· the importance of self-mastery in effectively moving people to extraordinary heights
· tools and techniques to enhance effective leadership skills
· how to be more effective with less effort and turn conflict and resistance into positive changes
Patricia Varley is instructor for the program. For 15 years, she has been a national speaker, trainer, business and personal coach working with individuals, leaders, organizations and companies in “Reinventing Success from the Inside Out” by “Reclaiming the Wholeness of People.”
Varley, MHSA, has a Bachelor of Arts in behavioral sciences and a master’s degree in organization and management, and human services administration. She is a member of the International Coach Association and National Speakers Association, and works nationally.
The central purpose of the Institute is to help promote superior performance in government and nonprofit organizations through quality training, consulting and technical assistance.
