"Networking for Results" Workshop Offered by FGCU Florida Insitute of Government
FORT MYERS, FL - Managers and employees from both the private and public sectors are invited to attend a half-day workshop “Networking for Results” presented by the Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University as part of its Professional Development Series from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 10 in 111 Broadcast Building.
Networking helps professionals to maximize business by getting others to market for them. It is more than just handing out business cards and hoping people will call. Networking is about building business relationships and partnerships. This workshop will unveil the keys necessary to establish successful networking skills.

Allison Blankenship is instructor for the program. She has more than two decades of hands-on experience in management, marketing and communications. She is an effective and persuasive communicator with the proven ability to sell ideas and teaches how to apply successful strategies and hands-on principles to make organizations less stressful and more profitable.
Blankenship’s many years of working with renowned companies like the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Wal-Mart, Textron Financial and Bank One give her experience to show how to structure an organization to achieve immediate results. She was named an Outstanding Woman of America and was president of the Florida Speakers Association.
The central purpose of the Institute is to help promote superior performance in government and nonprofit organizations through quality training, consulting and technical assistance.
