Lefferts Joins FGCU as Planned Giving Director
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University announces the recent addition of Peter C. Lefferts to the new position of director of Planned Giving to design, organize and manage a comprehensive planned giving program for the FGCU Foundation Inc.
As a senior member of FGCU's development staff, the director of Planned Giving incorporates gift planning into a major fundraising strategy for the University. Lefferts collaborates with other development officers to advance comprehensive giving strategies.
"A planned gift to FGCU connects a lifetime of accumulated resources with the joy of giving back and provides each donor with the satisfaction of making a real difference in the lives of our students," Lefferts said.
"It is truly an honor for me to be a part of Florida Gulf Coast University and to work with our alumni and friends through planned giving."
Lefferts' work will help spur FGCU to the $125 million goal of the University's capital campaign. FGCU announced the public phase of the capital campaign in December and as of June, has raised more than $115 million toward the "Dedicated to Greatness" goal.
