FGCU Hosts Seminar March 30 to Discuss Immune System Control of West Nile Virus Infection
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University Biotechnology Seminar Series invites members of the public, healthcare community and media to "Immune System Control of West Nile Virus Infection" 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 30 in 268 Whitaker Hall.
The free seminar features speaker Michael Diamond, assistant professor in the Departments of Medicine, Molecular Microbiology, and Pathology and Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis.
Diamond earned a Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology in 1992 and an M.D. in 1994 from Harvard University. Following postdoctoral work at the University of California at San Francisco and the University of California at Berkeley, Diamond joined the faculty at the Washington University School of Medicine in 2001.
