Lucas Institute Hosts Inaugural Fall Lecture
With Former CEO of Equity Residential Properties Trust
FORT MYERS, FL - The David and Linda Lucas Institute for Real Estate Development and Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University announces the inaugural fall lecture, 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14 in the Student Union ballroom with guest speaker Douglas Crocker II, former CEO and vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of Equity Residential Properties Trust.
During the lecture, Crocker presents an introduction to real estate investment trusts and real estate stocks, yesterday and today.
Crocker has more than 40 years of experience in the real estate industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
Crocker is a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Multi Housing Council, National Apartment Association, Center for Urban Land Economics Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Executive in Residence and Founding Sponsor of the Real Estate Center at DePaul University.
Crocker serves on the Board of Directors of Ventas, Wellsford Real Properties, National Water and Power, Inc., Acadia Realty Trust, Post Properties and Reckson Associates Realty Corp. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Multi Housing Council and as a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute.
