Florida Gulf Coast University's Renaissance Academy
Announces Two Excursions This Fall to Tuscany
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University Renaissance Academy invites travelers to experience the Tuscany region of Italy this fall via two excursions that explore the cultural, artistic and architectural treasures of Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Certaldo, Bologna, Fiesole and San Gimignano. Travel dates are Sept. 8-16 and Sept. 17-25.
Participants in the FGCU Renaissance Academy's "Invitation to Tuscany" excursions, now in its fifth year, visit Tuscany's historic and cultural sites with outstanding local guides, experience the customs, mores, cuisine and language of the people, and delight in conversation and laughter with fellow travelers who share a love of learning and sense of adventure.
"Tuscany's vineyards, olive groves and soaring cypress trees provide a setting that soothes the soul, delights the eye and raises the spirit," said John J. Guerra, director of Planning and Marketing for the FGCU Renaissance Academy.
"Medieval towns and villages, hilltop castles and ancient farmsteads dotting the landscape await discovery in the most welcoming of climates."
The all-inclusive Tuscany excursion is priced at $3,895 per person and includes roundtrip airfare from Miami (alternate departure cities may be available), seven nights in a four-star Tuscan villa, most meals and gratuities, private English-speaking tour guides, art history and wine lessons, deluxe motor coach transportation, entrance fees, transfers, taxes and surcharges. The tour culminates with a farewell feast at the private castle of Santa Maria Novella in the Tuscan countryside.
The FGCU Renaissance Academy's "Invitation to Tuscany" excursions are limited to 26 travelers each. Land-only packages are available for those who want to use airline mileage rewards, travel business/first class, or extend their stay. Complete itineraries, pricing and registration forms for the excursions are available by calling the FGCU Renaissance Academy at (239) 434-4737.
The FGCU Renaissance Academy offers affordable, non-credit lectures, short courses, day trips, computer classes, film series, life enrichment classes, writing workshops, music lessons, travel abroad and other special events. There are no exams or grades.
