Local Organizations Select Heroes for "The Hero Within" Conference Sponsored by FGCU Florida Institute of Government

FORT MYERS, FL - As part of "The Hero Within" conference Tuesday, April 3 at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, three local organizations chose a hero from within their ranks to represent them at the one-day program sponsored by The Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University. The conference explores the idea that each of us has the capacity to make extraordinary contributions in our ordinary, day-to-day lives.

Local heroes selected include Roxie Smith of Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau, Delia Everett of Select Real Estate by Stephanie Miller, Inc., and Philip "Mate" Martin of Home Safe Environmental, LLC.

Local heroes selected from within partnering organizations are recognized and celebrated during the conference. Partnering organizations include Florida Gulf Coast University, Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, Wilson Miller Engineering, Lee Memorial Health System, Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, Select Real Estate by Stephanie Miller, Inc., Matanzas Inn & The Beach Pierside Grill, and Home Safe Environmental, LLC.

Registration for the day is $99 and includes valet parking, continental breakfast and lunch.
