FGCU Institute for Responsible Corporate Governance to Offer an Insider's Look into a $1 Billion Options Backdating Crisis
FOR MYERS, FL - The Institute for Responsible Corporate Governance at Florida Gulf Coast University hosts The Honorable Edward Stringer, Retired Minnesota Supreme Court Justice and member of the Special Litigation Committee on UnitedHealth Group; James T. Hale, Esq., UnitedHealth Group - Governance Consultant; and Danette Smith, Esq., Secretary to the Board of Directors - UnitedHealth Group, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, April 23 at the Sugden Welcome Center, in a program titled: "Born Out of Controversy: A Corporate Governance Success Story."
This is an insider's look into how the board of UnitedHealth Group turned an options backdating crisis into an extraordinarily high corporate governance rating. This workshop offers corporate governance professionals the opportunity to hear the story from both sides of the crisis and engage in an interactive question and answer session.
