FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's Small Business Development Center, in conjunction with the Big Cypress Market Place, will host a Town Hall meeting for small businesses in the East Naples area from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, June 24 in the food court area of the Market Place.
The meeting is designed for small business owners to take advantage of the latest information on the new ARCC loan program currently available to small businesses through the federal government. Attendees will also hear from a panel of distinguished guests in the area of business, finance, government and entrepreneurship.
Also available will be free information at the business resource tables manned by agencies with the State of Florida Department of Revenue, Financial Services, Workers Comp, OSHA Collier County Economics and more.
Panelists include Collier County Board of County Commissioner Jim Coletta, District 5; director for Regional Economic Research Institute at FGCU Lutgert College of Business Gary L. Jackson; vice president of Lending at Regions Bank Pat Kirkpatrick; and events and communications coordinator for Economic Development Council of Collier County Beth Sterchi. SBDC director Dan Regelski will moderate session.
"We are very excited to take part in the Town Hall meeting at Big Cypress Market Place for business owners in the east end of Naples," said Regelski. "This is a great opportunity for businesses that are on the outskirts of a county to hear firsthand how they can take advantage of the new SBA lending program, pick up information that is viable for their business, and benefit from the experts that will be in the room."
To date the SBDC has held four other successful Town Hall meetings in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples and Lehigh Acres with 350 small business owners in attendance.
There is no cost to attend the meeting, however reservations are requested by calling (239) 745-3700, or visiting the SBDC Website at http://cli.fgcu.edu/sbdc/.
Big Cypress Market Place is located on U.S. 41, four miles east of S.R. 951 (Collier Boulevard). From I-75 take the S.R. west exit. Go 6.5 miles and turn left onto U.S. 41. The Market Place is on the left at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Basik Road.
