SBDC Offers Workshop for Entrepreneurs
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center hosts a full-day and half-day educational workshop for both new and existing entrepreneurs beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7 at Lutgert Hall located on the FGCU Campus.
Turning Your Passion to Profit will be the day's theme focusing on various subjects such as accounting/taxes, legal issues, funding, information technology, business plan development, marketing and government contracting. Local experts in these fields will teach the hour-long courses or tracks. Attendees will choose from the various topics and be able to take either three tracks for a half day or six tracks for the full day.
"We are very excited to take part in this workshop and support the entrepreneurs in Southwest Florida," stated Donna Flammang, partner with Roetzel & Andress law firm, an event sponsor. "We see business owners come into our firm who have so many questions regarding their business practices. By providing this workshop some of those questions will be answered by experts in their fields."
Sponsors include Southwest Florida Business Today, Roetzel & Andress, Grasmeier Business Services, LLC and Key Bank. In addition, the Small Business Resource Network members will be on hand to provide assistance and guidance.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast and mini table top trade show, featuring several businesses that reflect the day's workshop, and will be open throughout the event.
The full-day workshop is $79, which includes a networking lunch. Certificates of completion will be presented to full day registrants at the end of the day.
Half-day attendees can attend either in the morning or afternoon, and the $49 fee includes the networking lunch.
