FGCU Bower School of Music Presents "Four-Hand Festival" Guest Artist Recital

FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University Bower School of Music presents "Four-Hand Festival," a guest artist recital with Claire Aebersold and Ralph Neiweem, duo pianists, 7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9 in the Student Union ballroom. The program is free and open to the public.

Aebersold and Neiweem are among America's foremost piano duos. They have played over 30 live radio broadcast performances on WFMT Radio in Chicago, and have appeared on PBS USA and RAI-TV Italy. Their numerous CDs for Summit Records include the world premiere recording of Brahms Piano Concerto No.1 in D minor in the composer's own arrangement for piano four hands, as well as a complete traversal of Schubertís music for piano duet.

Aebersold is a graduate of the New England Conservatory, and Neiweem a graduate of the Juilliard School. They met as students in Italy at a music festival in Umbria, were married, and became a full-time piano duo in 1981.
