Postponed FGCU Bower School of Music Hosts Faculty and Guest Artist Recital, Jan. 27

FORT MYERS, FL - The Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University hosts "Passionate Cello," a faculty and guest artist recital, 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Music Building's U. Tobe Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

Cellist Grace Mihi Bahng is featured as the guest artist. She was the assistant to the legendary cellist, Leonard Rose at Julliard, where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees. One of the finest cellists of her generation, Bahng was artist-in-residence at Vanderbilt University for 15 years before leaving to pursue a solo career.

Joined by pianist Michael Baron, head of Keyboard Studies at FGCU, Bahng will present cello masterpieces by Beethoven, Brahms, Piazzolla and Shostakovich.
