WHEN 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8

WHY Meet Thorn Grafton, director of Sustainability Initiatives and preservation architect for Zyscovich Architects. For 30 years, Grafton's projects have ranged from historic preservation, community development, environmental education, and neighborhood planning, to sustainable design and construction. A third generation South Florida architect, (grandson of Russell T. Pancoast and great-great grandson of Miami Beach pioneer John S. Collins), Grafton brings a historical perspective to his work on the built environment in a hot and humid subtropical climate.
Mark Anderson is president of Benchmark General Contractors, who's "Sea Glass of Sanibel" will showcase community cooperation in energy and water uses, reduced automobile impacts, native wildlife, and vegetation conservation and enhancements.
Bryan Roberts is founder and owner of Eco-Tech Construction, a Florida-based general contracting firm that focuses on the design and implementation of projects and communities that
work in concert with natural systems.
Sponsored by FGCU's Center for Environmental & Sustainability Education, FGCU's Food Forest and Zyscovich Architects.
