Nominations Closing March 31 for the 3rd Annual Distinguished Entrepreneur Award Presented by FGCU's Florida Small Business Development Center
FORT MYERS, Fla. - There is still time to get your nominations in for the 2014 Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Deadline to nominate a business is March 31.
The Distinguished Entrepreneur Award event takes place during National Small Business Week, May 14-21. The award recognizes a small- to mid-sized Southwest Florida business for its overall success as well as provides an opportunity for the local business community to celebrate its achievements.
"I encourage all business owners in Collier, Lee, Glades, Hendry and Charlotte counties to submit a nomination," said Dan Regelski, regional director for Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). "This award recognition is a salute to you, and we at the FSBDC want to honor your accomplishments."
The event will take place on Wednesday, May 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hyatt Coconut Point Resort and Spa, in Bonita Springs. Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co. is once again the Title Sponsor.
Keynote speaker is Caroline Beasley, executive vice president, chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary of Naples-based Beasley Broadcast Group Inc. Beasley was honored by Radio INK magazine as one of the "40 most Powerful People in Radio" in 2011 and 2012. She has been recognized in the magazines' "Most Influential Women in Radio" listing every year since 2003.
