Finalists Announced for FSBDC at FGCU
2014 SWFL Distinguished Entrepreneur Award
Four chosen from 29 nominees across the five-county area
FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FSBDC at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) announced the four finalists selected for the 2014 Distinguished Entrepreneur Award. The finalists are Dr. Anais Aurora Badia, owner of Florida Skin Care; Felix Lluberes, founder and owner of Position Logic; Ryan D. Carter, Scotlynn Industries, co-owners USA Division; and Kimberly Campanella, owner of The Bicycle Center of Port Charlotte.
Now in its third year, the award recognizes a small- to mid-sized Southwest Florida business for its overall success, as well as provides an opportunity for the local business community to celebrate its achievements.
The finalists were chosen from 29 nominees from the five-county area by the following panel of expert judges: Tim Cartwright, managing director of Tamiami 2; Colleen Kvetko, president private banking of First National Bank on the Gulf Coast; Phil Borchmann, editor of Gulfshore Business Magazine; Norman Love, owner of Norman Love Confections; and Pamela Oaks, owner of Pam's Motor City and the 2013 Distinguished Award Winner.
The 2014 Distinguished Entrepreneur Award will be presented at the 3rd Annual Awards Dinner on Wednesday, May 21 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, in Bonita Springs. The keynote speaker is Caroline Beasley, executive vice president, chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary of Beasley Broadcast Group. Beasley will speak on success and failures of her family-owned business, and obstacles in achieving success.

The FSBDC at Florida Gulf Coast University is a dynamic community-based resource, which helps small business owners take advantage of new opportunities to grow their business through a diverse collection of programs and services. The FSBDC is located in FGCU's Center for Leadership & Innovation, the external administrative unit of the Lutgert College of Business.
