Susan Evans

Vice President and Chief of Staff

Susan Evans is the Vice President and Chief of Staff for Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). A member of the University’s 1993 founding team of five employees, Ms. Evans has served as the University Spokesperson since 1993, the Corporate Secretary to the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees since its establishment in 2001, and as a direct report to Founding President Roy McTarnaghan (1993 – 1999), Interim President Suzanne Richter (1999), Interim President Gene Hemp (1999), President Bill Merwin (1999 – 2007), Interim President Dick Pegnetter (2007), President Wilson Bradshaw (2007 – 2017), and President Michael Martin (2017 – present). In addition, she was the University’s first government relations director and lobbyist from 1993 to 2000, and also held an acting role as the first Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) for FGCU Athletics. Ms. Evans holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Stetson University and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Tiffany Reynolds

Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Chief of Staff

Tiffany Reynolds is the Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Chief of Staff. Ms. Reynolds directs the daily operations of the Office of Vice President and Chief of Staff with responsibility for coordinating project activities, information retrieval, and administrative matters. She also handles the budget operations of the office. Ms. Reynolds started at FGCU in 2001 as a student and began working for the University in 2008. She has served previously in the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, and the Office of Undergraduate Studies. As an FGCU alumna, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling.

Lauren Schuetz

Assistant Director of Board Operations

Lauren Schuetz is the Assistant Director of Board Operations for the Office of Vice President and Chief of Staff. Lauren directs the operations and logistics for the FGCU Board of Trustees and oversees project management. Prior to working in this office, Lauren worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a Recruiter for Florida Gulf Coast University. Lauren received her Bachelor's degree in Communication from FGCU in 2013 and her Master's degree in Public Administration in 2016.

Loyda Deleon

Executive Secretary

Loyda Deleon is the Executive Secretary to the Office of Vice President and Chief of Staff. Ms. Deleon provides high-level administrative support to the Office of Vice President and Chief of Staff by screening and routing calls, electronic communications, and visitors to the appropriate person. She also provides support for the budget operations of the office, coordinates travel documentation, and maintains document archives. Ms. Deleon joined FGCU in February 2017. As an FGCU alumna, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science.
