Eagle Advantage Coordinator

Susel is a recent graduate of FGCU's Masters of Arts in Education Leadership program. She served as a Graduate Intern within the CAA during the summer of 2019 and as a Graduate Assistant during the summer of 2020. She has served in many mentoring, research, and coaching roles at FGCU, including Multicultural Leadership and Development, Eagle Media, and the Department of Sociology, assisting students in succeeding professionally, academically, and personally. Before joining FGCU, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French and Francophone Studies at University of Florida.
"I am a first-generation student who aims to teach anyone new to college to learn the ins and outs. I navigated the higher ed system thanks to all my connections and the resources available to me and graduated without any student debt after my Master's degree. I speak Spanish and French fluently and can relate to many students and different diverse populations. I believe that the CAA is the space where I can share my many talents and impact students' lives because it is an incredible space that exudes student success in all areas of life. So eager to connect with all the new admitted Eagle Advantage students and excited to help you navigate college with the best programs at FGCU!"
Taylor is a Junior at FGCU on the Pre-Medical track with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Chemistry. She transferred here from Cincinnati, Ohio as a sophomore and has thrived at FGCU ever since. She is a member of many clubs: Kappa Delta, Global Medical Brigades, and the Lions Club of FGCU. She is also currently the President of the American Medical Student Association Pre-Med Club at FGCU. Taylor has worked with the Center for Academic Achievement since Summer 2020 where she was first employed as a Peer Academic Leader where she mentored new college students and helped them gain all the skills necessary to succeed. She continued into the Fall of 2020 working as a Peer Academic Leader for an Effective Learning Class and then began her current position as Eagle Advantage Student Coordinator in the Spring of 2021.

Retention& Engagement Coordinator
Office of First Year Experience
Destiny Washington currently serves as a Coordinator for Retention & Engagement Programs in the Office of First Year Experience. Through this role, she has the pleasure of coordinating events and programs specifically designed for first-year students, including Eagles in 25. As a proud first generation college graduate, Destiny has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Toledo, and holds a Master’s of Science in Higher Education from Florida State University.
