Random Testing Program

FGCU is offering surveillance COVID-19 testing

It involves inviting a random selection of 1,500 people from across campus every week to pick up and use PCR saliva test kits. The goal is to identify asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic students and employees to help prevent potential outbreaks of the virus.

Taking part in this optional testing program helps FGCU determine the potential infection rate on campus and may help prevent you from unknowingly spreading COVID-19 to your friends and family.

How it works

Each Monday, Emergency Management will send an email to 1,500 students and employees to invite them to participate in the random testing program.

Those who wish to be tested will be asked to pick up a Saliva PCR COVID-19 test kit at the Cohen Student Union.
