An active member of SHAPE Florida, Carolyn Conley is the community health educator at the Kleist Health Education Center. She graduated with a multi-age health and physical education bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in Ohio in 2010. She moved to the Carolinas where she spent the next five years teaching health and physical education in the public school system, coaching varsity sports, and directing summer camps. Although incredibly passionate about working with youth and emphasizing overall wellness, Carolyn was interested in a less traditional setting to continue her career as an educator. She searched for ways to connect with more students and more closely with the community. Becoming the health educator at the Kleist Health Education Center was a natural career transition, and she looks forward to adding to the mission of Florida Gulf Coast University.
