Deborah Wiltrout leads University Marketing & Communications, overseeing development of the institutional brand and key marketing and communications efforts for the university. She guides the development of marketing communications across campus, providing strategic direction for the school’s integrated marketing strategy and is responsible for the editorial direction and design of university publications, videos, social media and web communications. She came to FGCU in December 2014, after heading the marketing divisions of American University and the University of Maryland and developing award-winning brand campaigns at both institutions. She has also worked in the healthcare, retail and hospitality fields as well as public television. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing at The Ohio State University and an MBA from Marymount University.
