The purpose of this virtual panel presentation and discussion is to provide participants with an update about the current COVID-19 pandemic and related information regarding the effects and implications for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and the Regional Economy in Southwest Florida. Representatives of FGCU’s Lutgert College of Business, the Small Business Development Center, and regional leaders will discuss the following topics: an update on opening Southwest Florida for business in May, the regional economic impact of COVID-19, federal and state support for SMEs and related resources, current state and future outlook of the regional economy in Southwest Florida, and best practices for managing the current COVID-19 pandemic.

What are some of the key issues leaders face as they consider the short-term and long-term sustainability of their organizations?
