R. Christopher Geiger, Ph.D.

Dr. Chris Geiger joined the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering in January 2007.

Prior to his arrival at FGCU, Dr. Geiger was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. His areas of expertise include gene therapy and gene delivery, cellular biomechanics and engineering education. He is currently working with students on projects to better understand how the extracellular mechanical environments affects cellular processes.
