Jiehong Liao, Ph.D.

Dr. Jiehong Liao joined the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering in August 2015.

Before joining FGCU, Dr. Liao was a visiting professor in the Division of Science and Technology at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College. Her areas of expertise include biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and engineering education. She is currently working with students on projects to fabricate porous scaffolds and to study how the extracellular matrix architecture affects cellular processes.
