Professor Michael is an Electrical and Systems Engineer who transferred from industry to FGCU in July 2018.
He has over 30 years of professional work experience in systems engineering, project management, and the design, installation, and start-up of complex multi-technology systems. His technical expertise includes extra low-voltage power, physical security, instrumentation, and technical training. He teaches classes in the Master of Science of Engineering program. These classes include Smart Power Grids, Energy Conversion, and the non-thesis student Project Class. Mr. Michael has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado and a Master in Systems Engineering from Arizona State University. His professional licenses and certifications include Professional Engineer, Project Management Professional, Physical Security Professional, and formally a US Navy Engineering Duty Officer. He is working on completing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
