Community Engagement Day serves as an opportunity for FGCU students to showcase the amazing service-learning projects they engage in and the impact they have in the community each academic year.  This event aims to highlight and honor the most outstanding individual, class-based, and student organization-based service-learning projects each year.  Community Engagement Day also serves as a moment of inspiration for all attendees as it highlights the strong relationships built between the university and our communities.     

Once selected to present, projects are considered for a variety of possible awards in which the winners receive funding for their nonprofit or government agency partners.  A list of specific awards can be viewed HERE.

• Individual student projects, class-based projects, and Registered Student Organization projects should register by March 15, 2021 using THIS FORM.
• Note:  the project does not need to be complete by March 15^th, but you must indicate your project details and timeline to completion in the application.
• Faculty members wishing to reserve a showcase spot for your top class-based service-learning project(s) from fall, spring, or summer semesters can use THIS FORM to reserve a space for your students by March 15, 2021.   
• Note:  the specific projects representing your class must be determined and submitted by no later than April 9th, 2021

The Office of Internships & Cooperative Programs (ICP) is the central resource on FGCU’s campus for information on and connection to internships and other similar work-based learning experiences. We work closely with three main populations through every step of the process to offer access to high quality learning experiences to FGCU students: the students themselves, faculty/staff, and employers.

 ICP is excited to be involved in Eagle X to bring the first ever showcase of excellence in internship and other work-based learning experiences at FGCU. Applications to present high quality internship experiences will be considered based on overall internship quality, learning outcomes achieved, impact on career development, contribution to employer, and work-based learning excellence in professionalism. Applications can be completed through Eagle Career Network.

iLEAD is an initiative that explore the journey of leadership as a process and not a position. Individuals will have the opportunity to explore and learn various concepts, skills, and styles from FGCU leaders across campus. Student leaders will share their leadership experiences through many facets to educate and shed light on leadership opportunities. By active participation, attendees will be able to apply learned information and experiences to real life circumstances.

FGCU Research Day is a demonstration of all forms of scholarship. Students and faculty present their research to peers and other members of the FGCU community. This event showcases the broad impact of FGCU across a diverse range of research topics and academic disciplines.
