WiSER Eagles Program (Student Research Assistant)
Toggle More InfoThe Work in Scholarly Experiences & Research (WiSER) Program fosters research endeavors by enabling faculty to hire undergraduate and graduate research assistants. Assistants can participate in a variety of research activities such as, but not limited to, data collection, literature review, and manuscript formatting. Faculty mentor students in the process of scholarly inquiry as they prepare a project for dissemination. Students benefit from this program by developing both skills employers are looking for and techniques for overcoming adversity and setbacks. Additionally, students participate in weekly professional development seminars.
Faculty applying to the WiSER Eagle Research Assistant program must comply with all university procedures. Please see the Compliance document for the guidance as found on the Research Compliance section of the ORSP website.

Hosted on the last Wednesday of each month, faculty discuss their recent work and collaborations, perspectives on their scholarly process and motivation toward the work, preliminary results, and future directions of their work. Lunch is provided to foster an engaged and collegial experience.
