Allison Dieppa joined FGCU's faculty in 2011. Before coming to Florida, she taught at the University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College. She also worked as a writer in the public relations and entertainment industries, experiences that inform her teaching.

Her current research examines the limitations of large language models and their impact on student writing and information literacy. When not teaching or researching, she enjoys mentoring students and serving as faculty advisor to Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society.
