Dr. Menaka Navaratna is the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at FGCU, overseeing areas including Student Affairs and Graduate Studies. He also serves as a Professor of Mathematics and previously held roles as Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Program Leader for the Math BS/BA programs. Dr. Navaratna earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Texas Tech University and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sri Lanka. His research focuses on applied mathematics, particularly modeling large-scale biological networks with differential equations. He is also actively involved in outreach initiatives supporting K–12 education in Southwest Florida.
