Michael Kennedy has taught at FGCU since January of 2010. He currently serves as an instructor in the Communication and Philosophy Department where he teaches numerous public relations courses. He also teaches Foundation of Civic Engagement in the Interdisciplinary Studies Department and has taught a master’s level marketing course, Professional Selling and International Marketing for the Lutgert College of Business at the university.
Mike has worked in the fields of marketing and public relations for more than 30 years. Originally from Utica, NY, he relocated to Naples in 1985. In Naples, he served as director of marketing and ultimately vice president for an international sales and marketing firm. He formed his own marketing/PR firm in 2001, working with both local and international clients.
A former member of the executive board of directors at the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber’s Economic Development Committee, he also served on the board of directors of the Quest Educational Foundation and the Bonita Springs Assistance Office. He is also a former trustee of the CREW Land and Water Trust.
