Scott Topazi joined FGCU’s Bower School of Music staff in July of 2021. He came here most recently from Sweetwater Sound working as a Product Support Specialist in Music Technology since 2020 providing pro audio support to customers of all levels of knowledge and skill. From 2013-2020, Scott has experience working as an Audio Production Manager at the Central Michigan University School of Music where he oversaw the audio and video production for nearly 400 events yearly including guest artist, faculty, and student recitals, as well as orchestra, band, choral, jazz, operatic, theatre, and chamber music events.
In the Summer of 2012, he worked at the Aspen Music Festival and School. Scott’s teaching experience includes teaching Audio Engineering I & II at Collin College in Frisco, TX from 2010-2012. While attending the University of North Texas for his masters degree, he worked at the College of Music’s Recording Lab gaining experience recording studio and live performances of hip hop, rock, jazz combos, and various chamber ensembles.
