Volunteers Needed: 'Disaster Day Interprofessional Simulation’ Event

On November 15th, FGCU will make history by hosting the largest-ever Disaster Day Interprofessional Simulation event in Southwest Florida. During this event, students from Marieb College of Health & Human Services will learn from faculty and area first responders on how best to diagnose, treat and care for patients in a high-pressure emergency scenario.
To make this event a success, we need your help!
Students:
Students who volunteer to support this event will be able to submit service-learning hours.
We need volunteers for the following roles:
- Actors (pretend patients in need of medical treatment)
- Event setup and staging
- Record keeping
- Event cleanup
- And other key support roles!

While the Disaster Day Interprofessional Simulation will take place on campus in the Cohen Student Union and Recreation Field 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, November 15, volunteers are also needed the day before. You can choose from a variety of time slots that fit your schedule, and a calendar is available online with all the options.
