FGCU Academy Seeks New Adult Lifelong Learning Lecturers From the Southwest Florida Community

The FGCU Academy seeks subject matter experts, professionals, retirees, former teachers and academics, or those with lifelong hobbies or interests who want to share their knowledge and passion.

Join the FGCU Academy and become a lecturer in Collier, Lee or Charlotte Counties.  Lectures are offered in-person at one of our 12 locations or can be offered online via Zoom.

  • What & When:  Lecture/short courses and moderated discussion groups are offered year round Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm.  Lectures should be 75-120 minutes long, with time allotted for question and answer sessions.

  • Why: Meet new people, makes new friends, share knowledge and ideas, keep your mind intellectually, creatively and culturally active and invigorated.

  • Lecture Topics:  art/art history; archaeology; business and finance; computer and technology; ecology and environment; history, law and government; health, wellness and medicine; life enrichment; literature; music and opera; philosophy; photography and photo editing; psychology; religion, faith and philosophy; science and astronomy; sociology; writing workshops; and U.S. and world affairs
