Dr. Humphries served in the United States Air Force using his political science degree. Using his GI Bill to study biology, he eventually earned a doctorate based on research involving the bacterial toxin, endotoxin, and taught biology at international high schools for 14 years. He has been a faculty member at FGCU since 2008.
