Keller, Shawn (Ph.D.)
Shawn Keller's research examines criminal justice from a biosocial perspective examining the role epigenetics has on criminal and deviant behavior. He also has a special interest in the use of future technologies to protect the public: Facial recognition, 3D Evidence presentation, replacing physical and photographic evidence with 3D modeling (digital crime scene preservation), 3D printing and gun control laws, Body cameras with AI assistance, and use of personal and surveillance drones. Other interests include identification of protective factors to reduce and stop the cycle of violence, effective methods of offender rehabilitation, and public perceptions of policing.
